Mobile Solution
An invaluable component of the Work Order Management System is its Mobile Connectivity Solution!
Hand-held devices -such as a tablet- with wireless enabled connectivity are able to communicate with the Work Order Management System
in real-time – never having to dock with a cradle to send or receive information. In addition to simplifying connectivity between the field
devices and the Work Order Management System, we will customize the application’s hand-held forms – also known as Profiles –
implementing dynamic filters so that essentially all business units and field crews can utilize the same tablets, which will open and display
their specific data based on their login credentials.

GPS Data Collection
Utilizing Location Services - which is the GPS service built into your tablet, or connecting to an external
Bluetooth GPS reciver - for higher accuracy, we are able to collect the latitude and longitude information of
your position and save the data with the current work order.
We can add-on the GPS collection process as part of a Work Order Management System or implement a
system to capture GPS data only, typically associated with a physical address and/or an asset. Both
applications will be configured to suite your specific requirement.
GeoCoding
Utilizing a GeoCoding service, we are able to transform an address into a coordinate system, which can then be used to mark a location(s)
on a map.
There are many viable uses for GeoCoding. Although the accuracy may not be exact enough to be used for asset management, in many
cases it is sufficient for density review and AMR (Automated Meter Reading) systems. Typically our process would be to prepare a
database of locations to convert, perform the GeoCode process, then prepare a data file that can be used to update and/or populate
another system, such as a utility billing system or GIS system.
